Thank you so much to everyone who has so generously given their time to our BACS this year. Meeting the variety of needs for both students and teachers has kept our volunteers on their toes! By popular demand, we have now added an exciting new avenue for volunteers who are looking for opportunities to be useful in our school. This position offers volunteers the ability to become certified and work with our students without the need for continued direct teacher supervision. If becoming a certified volunteer sounds like a possibility for you, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Liz Switzer, to set up an orientation. For more information about how you can serve our school, stop by our Community Volunteer Room Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 12:00, or call Liz Switzer at 215-947-4086, ext. 262.

One morning a month, general project prep and bulletin boards.Call to sign up now or drop in.
Primary Unit
1st grade - Math games every Thursday 1:30 - 2:30
1st grade - Lunch prep, lunch recess, story and creative centers every Wednesday 12:00 - 2:30 - you can sign up for just one afternoon!
1st grade - Certified volunteer every Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 for snack and recess support
2nd grade - Math games every Tuesday 1:30 - 2:30
Shopping for candles and long matches for primary unit worship supply
Intermediate Unit
6th grade - Computer Lab Thursday 11:30 - 12:15
5th grade Computer Lab Friday 10:45- 12:15
1 or 2 days adjusting desks to fit student heights - tools and training provided!
Specialists
Science teacher looking for help in classroom cleaning tables preparing and cleaning up experiments, flex hours
Art teacher looking for project prep and supply clean-up and bulletin boards any afternoon, M-Th from 2:30 - 3:30
If you would like to be a part of our volunteer community, please contact the volunteer coordinator, Liz Switzer, liz.switzer@bacs-gc.org You could also stop by our volunteer room, or click on Volunteer Sign-up Form . The Volunteer Community Room, which is located in the primary wing of the school is staffed by Liz Switzer and volunteers, to provide support for anyone who would like to be a part of our school community. Volunteers are expected to check-in here and are invited to grab a cup of coffee or tea while getting supplies and instructions. Then stay and work on a project or head out to a classroom. The Volunteer Room is open from 7:45 - 12:15 daily. It is a place to connect with other volunteers, share ideas, ask questions, see the current list of jobs, work on projects, and be inspired.
