After Christmas Program Dismissal Plan

What will your children be doing?

· Students will return to their classrooms after the program ends.  Parents, please come directly to the classrooms and collect your children.

· Teachers will remain in the classrooms until normal dismissal time,12:15, with any students who will be riding the bus or walking.

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like your child to be dismissed to walk home on his or her own immediately following the program, you must send a note to the teacher.  Otherwise we will keep the children until 12:15, when the crossing guards will be on duty.

Parents of Bused Students

· If you plan to drive your children home after the program, please notify Liz Childs so she can compile a list for the bus drivers.  We don’t want to hold the buses here while we try to determine whether a child went home with his/her parent.

Finding Favor with God

When the angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her of her amazing role as the mother of Jesus her first response was one of fear.  But quickly Gabriel reassured Mary that she had “found favor with God.” Soon Mary’s fear turned to, “Behold, the maidservant of the Lord!  Let it be to me according to your word (Luke 2).”

In beautiful innocence and acceptance Mary’s desire to serve the Lord allowed her to live through perhaps the most remarkable experience a human being could ever have – giving birth to our Lord and Savior.  We will never know Mary’s full heart, but her words testify of a profound awareness that she had indeed been favored by God when she says: “My soul magnifies the Lord…henceforth all generations will call me blessed.”

With the Christmas holiday so near, let us look to emulate Mary’s beautiful thoughts and words.  If we can accept the Lord’s call even when we feel some fear, we too will “find favor with God” and discover the lasting happiness He intends for us all.  Merry Christmas to all of you in the BACS family.               PBS
