Tuition and Financial Aid Information
Bryn Athyn Church School has long been committed to providing families an affordable New Church Education. All families receive some financial support through the operating budget, endowment and annual fund donations. The School dedicates nearly $550,000 in tuition assistance each year. Tuition alone does not cover the total cost, estimated to be $14,000 per year, of educating a student at the Bryn Athyn Church School. Your tuition payment helps cover part of the $14,000 that it costs to provide a child a New Church education at BACS.
Tuition and Fees for the 2011 – 2012 school year are as follows:
Tuition: $5,765
Comprehensive Fee: $1,040
Total: $6,805
Approximately 40% of BACS families receive additional tuition assistance. Grants are need-based, and vary from several hundred to several thousand dollars. BACS will be using Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) as our financial aid assessment and tuition management programs for the coming school year. In determining tuition assistance, TADS will process each family’s application individually and confidentially.
There are no income floors or ceilings to qualify for tuition assistance. Rather, tuition assistance takes into account multiple factors including home equity, second home ownership, consumer debt, number of children attending tuition-charging institutions and more. It is important that all families feel free to inquire about and request tuition assistance for any reason. Requests for tuition assistance are kept strictly confidential, as is any information provided.
As always please feel free to contact the business office with any questions or comments about tuition, tuition assistance, or giving. If you prefer, you may direct your questions or comments to the pastoral staff or school administration. We are glad to have your family connected with our school and aim to provide your child with a high quality education in the light of the three-fold Word.
The chart below is intended as a guide to help you understand possible ranges of tuition assistance. It gives an idea of what a family could be expected to contribute towards education costs.

Financial Aid and Tuition Aid Data Services
For the 2011-2012 school year the Bryn Athyn Church School (BACS) will be using Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) for our financial aid assessment and tuition management programs, this is a change from last year. TADS will process every family's financial aid application and help the school determine the relative need of each family. The BACS financial aid committee uses this information to distribute the financial aid funds available in the most equitable way possible. (NOTE: TADS does not give grants or scholarships; they process the forms and provide schools with a tool for allocating their own financial aid.)
Those interested in obtaining a grant must fill out and submit a TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) form. You can complete this easily online at Online TADS Application http://www.tads.com/ or http://www.mytads.com/
A TADS Financial Aid Application Worksheet is available to help you with the application process. If you have any questions during the process, you may reach TADS support at 800-477-8237, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central. They are also available though live chat on their website and email at support@tads.com.
Payment Plans - Coming Soon
We have also partnered with TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) to provide families with a new level of access and options for managing tuition and fees at BACS. The partnership provides families the ability to review tuition balances online, receive payment reminders via email, pay by credit card and much more.
If you have questions or concerns about the application process please contact BACS Treasurer, Stewart Asplundh at 215-947-6225 ext. 210.
Thank you for your support of Bryn Athyn Church School. We depend on your support in our efforts to provide high quality education in the light of the three-fold Word. Your continued support and cooperation is appreciated as we remain committed to New Church Education.
