The CommuniK-8or

Cathedral Choir Rescheduled!

Due to conflicts with Unicorn Choir, the

Cathedral Choir has been rescheduled for

November 18th.

We have 34 enthusiastic singers.

We hope you will be there to hear them!

Important Notice...

about our “Call ‘em All” system!

When we made our trial run with “Call ‘em All” we heard concerns from many who received calls on their home phones and then on each parent’s cell phones as well.

If we have to call off school early in the morning, you will be called on all of these phones.

If you don’t want to be called several times, we can  narrow the “Call ‘em All” to just one number.  BUT we need to hear from you if you want this to happen.

· Please e-mail the phone you wish to leave on the list and include your name and what phone this is i.e. cell, home phone, etc.

Unless a person knows goods and truths and evils and falsities he sees no way of egress from hell, and no way of entrance into heaven; these are what truths must teach (Divine Wisdom 457)

By learning the truth about what is good and what is evil we can discover “the way of entrance to heaven.”  Truths bring light to our understanding of both the spiritual and natural worlds.  But we all know that learning truths is not enough. The real life of a person is in his or her will. Knowing and thinking truths must become willing and doing them if we are to find our way past the “entrance to heaven” and enter into its blessings.

The real test of whether we believe something to be true is if we love it enough to make it part of our everyday life.  In the New Church the Lord tells us that willing and doing the truth are mostly a function of adult life.  However, the Lord has given even young children an ability to think affirmatively and with conviction about doing things that run contrary to their evil desires.  They have the power to resist evil if not to actually repent.  And if they look to the Lord and resist the entrancing power of evil pleasures and habits, their adult lives will be helped immeasurably as they embark on the path of regeneration. When we begin to will and do the truth it has the wonderful, everlasting effect of leading past the entry gates of heaven and into the Holy City which is the New Jerusalem.                         PBS

BACS Open House—Tuesday, Nov. 6

BACS is holding an Open House next Tuesday morning.  You are invited to observe the regular classroom activities of your child/children’s classrooms during the course of their morning.  Grandparents and others who are specially connected with your child/children are also welcome.

Please remember to be as quiet as possible, since having visitors can be distracting to learning.  Please also do not bring other children.  We hope you can make it!
